John Ross, Quarry Manager Designate lead a visit to the Caterpillar Articulated Dump Truck Factory at Peterlee, near Newcastle.

The attendees consisted of Singleton Birch Quarry Operations personnel and members of The Institute of Quarrying Yorkshire Branch.

The factory produces Articulated Dump Trucks for the worldwide market.  The attendees were suitably impressed by the high tech state of the art operation.

Singleton Birch supply lime to British Steel at Scunthorpe, who in turn supply steel to Caterpillar at Peterlee.  High quality British products right through the supply chain!
