Technical Sales Manager (AD & Waste Water)

Birch Solutions service, operate and maintain anaerobic digestion plants as well as providing lime dosing and dewatering mobile solutions to the water and industrial sectors.  Working with our service partners we offer the most comprehensive support available to the UK market.

The Role:

– The supporting our management team to achieve the next stage of our development strategy

– Generating new and further developing existing business as our technical sales presence

– Actively involved in the process of new and existing business development to maximise sales for both installation of new products, services and maintaining agreements

The ideal applicant is likely to be qualified to a degree or equivalent experience with the ability to communicate at all levels and have a strong commercial acumen.  Mechanical and/or electrical engineering background with experience within the waste water and/or AD sector is preferred.  Based at our Melton Ross site this role will require frequent travel within the UK and internationally in accordance with business demands.

Salary will be commensurate with experience, but this is part of an exceptional overall package which includes performance related bonus and private health cover for employees, partners and children.  The company will also pay up to 14% of salary into a pension, which can be topped up by the employee contributions.

Sales Executive
Birch Chemicals

Birch Chemicals are looking for a Sales Executive to help grow international sales of their rubber additive chemicals range.  This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly growing member of the Singleton Birch family of companies.

Candidates should ideally be educated to degree level or equivalent and be able to demonstrate experience in or of the rubber industry.  An understanding of calcium oxide desiccant and calcium hydroxide interactions within rubber chemistry would be an advantage, as would any established network of contacts within these markets.

The role involves a significant amount of international travel to back up local distributor networks and as such, experience of working with distributors would be advantageous.  The role does not require UK residency.

The successful candidate will have responsibility for allocated geographic markets, i.e. Asia, India etc. as well as responsibility for specific customer related projects, i.e. developing products or packaging etc.

Personality and character are very important as the role will involve influencing either customers, distributors or other members of the team.  Candidates will be working as part of a small team and should be a self-starter able to work under their own initiative.  Good IT and administrative skills are essential.

Salary will be commensurate with experience, but this is part of an exceptional overall package which includes performance related bonus, fully expensed company car (including fuel for private use) and private health cover for employees, partners and children.  The company will also pay up to 14% of salary into a pension, which can be topped up by the employee contributions.
