Job Purpose Overview:
We’re looking for a proactive and hands-on Assistant Technician to support the efficient operation of our lime production process. The ideal candidate will assist with product testing, plant monitoring, and routine maintenance to ensure safe, reliable, and high-quality production.
This role plays a key part in maintaining plant performance, supporting breakdown response, and upholding the highest standards of safety and housekeeping.
Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping on process plants including use of the internal vac system
- Monitor and react to quality issues following sampling, testing and product release
- Assist to make sure poke holes are kept clear of blockages
- Liaise with key stakeholders to maintain consistent product supply and ensure timely resolution of issues
- **Important: This role will be required to work on a shift basis which will include days, nights, weekends and on-call**
Job Requirements (Qualifications and Experience):
- Valid Forklift Truck license (essential)
- Basic IT proficiency, including Microsoft Excel and Word
- Working knowledge of process or manufacturing plant operations (desirable)
- Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Good decision making, problem solving and communication skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
