Singleton Birch has now been partnered with the Vale Academy, Brigg.  This is a Government initiative linking Industry with Schools to offer careers advice to pupils and help get them ready for work.  Staff from Singleton Birch, organised by Chris Meyer (SBL’s Enterprise Advisor) will help design and implement Vale’s career’s strategy.  Research has shown that if every pupil has at least 7 meetings with someone from Industry, they are more likely to find a job when they leave school.  Some examples of the help SBL staff will give are; pupil mentoring, CV writing and discussing their career paths.
