1What are your Birchset standard packaging sizes?
Birchset is usually supplied in 20kg weight defined boxes for scoop addition to the compound mix. Ask your distributor for further details or please contact us.
2Have you done technical testing on Birchset? Can you prove it works as well as you say?
We have conducted extensive testing on Birchset with external laboratories (such as Artis and ACE Consultants) and can provide test reports on request. We can also provide reference customer details within your own field of application. Ask to see our test reports or contact us for advice.
3Are there any issues in combining Birchset with other additives?
There are no problems with using Birchset in combination with other additives. If you would like advice on this, please contact us.
4Is Birchset suitable for all rubber applications?
Birchset is almost exclusively used in sulphur cured EPDM systems. Please contact us for recommendations regarding your proposed use.
5Do any other compounders use Birchset?
Yes, Birchset is used by many other compounders worldwide. Ask us for details of reference customers.
6Can Birchset be used with any calcium oxide?
Birchset can be used with any calcium oxide desiccant and has been specially formulated to work with Innovox. If you would like advice on product choice please contact us.

8What is typical point of addition on the plant with Birchset?
Typically, Birchset is added with calcium oxide at the start of the mixing process. If you would like advice on addition points, please contact us.
9What is a typical addition level for Birchset?
Addition level will depend on the calcium oxide levels within your compound. In practice, the typical dose rate for Birchset would be around 0.5 to 2 phr (or around 20% of the calcium oxide phr). If you would like advice on addition levels, please contact us.

3Why should I change from my current absorber to BirchSorb®?
BirchSorb® is a world class product which is a more powerful performer than many of the traditional or currently existing products available on the market. It is highly effective in the shipping sector as it is neat, clean and fuss free while also being highly effective as a front line defence against the problems caused by container rain.
4What are BirchSorb®’s key strengths?
BirchSorb® is conveniently packaged and lasts for at least eight weeks. It will handle at least 200% of its own weight in moisture, setting it into a solid form so there is no messy leakage or rerelease.
5Which Birch Chemicals products are suitable for the cargo industry?
BirchSorb®, our exclusive hyperdesiccant, is designed to deal with the problem of container rain, plus other moisture issues arising in the cargo/shipping industries. It is perfect for use in shipping containers and is a highly effective solution during longer shipping periods, due to its longevity and capacity.

1What are your Innovox standard packaging sizes and can you supply a bespoke size or container?
Innovox is usually supplied in weight defined EVA low melt sachets, e.g. 1kg. We do offer several other sizes and can also make special or bespoke packs. Ask your distributor for further details or please contact us.
2Where is Innovox made?
Innovox is made from calcium oxide produced in our own lime kilns on site in the UK. Search for Melton Ross in your web browser and you can access a satellite view of our site. For further information, please contact us.

4Which Birch Chemicals products are designed for the rubber and elastomer industries?
