Singleton Birch enjoyed their second year at the Waste World Cup. The six-a-side, mixed gender football tournament is sponsored by ‘Let’s Recycle’ and was held at the University of Northampton on the 6th of September 2013.
Singleton Birch players had a combined total of over 100 years experience working at Singleton Birch, but unfortunately, this did not prove to be an advantage on the pitch. They played well in the group stage but lost in the quarter finals to the team that took home the trophy.
